Radiation Day 16 – It’s classic rock all the way down

Beam room music rundown:

  1. “I Can’t Tell You Why,” The Eagles – Once again, I side with The Dude on this one.
  2. “Free Fallin’,” Tom Petty – More than makes up for The Eagles. I guess Marc Maron was right – everybody does love Tom Petty and burritos.

As I mentioned in my last post, I’ve hit the halfway mark for radiation. Woot! But also, now is when the side effects start becoming more apparent. As for the fatigue, so far, so good. I have been getting a bit tired in the afternoons, but it’s manageable. Today was the first day I noticed any hair loss. You can kind of make out some patchy-ness in the second photo below. Good thing nature has already prepared me for this moment.

Also, since last Friday was my follow-up with the neurosurgeon, I figured why not post a couple photos for a little side-by-side scar comparison.

  1. You and The Dude are correct about The Eagles, I can prove this on any basic graphing calculator. (And have had to, twice, in Boulder, Colorado.) Their power to bring linear time to a near stop, however, might better be explained by you, as it involves some very advanced math and I’m not an einstein.

(nods) Nice scar bro. Good to see that you made it into The Riddler’s gang.
